It seems that all of those stories of former cast members from the classic Our Gang/Little Rascals comedy shorts being bitter adults who felt screwed over and discarded by the business once their cuteness turned to awkwardness, wasn’t really the truth. There’s something odd about referring to a man in his sixties as “Spanky,” and yet if George McFarland was still with us, that’s exactly what he would have wanted to be called.
